Making Conscious Choices About Life

photo from the new Cafe Gratitude location in Costa Mesa. Cafe Gratitude is all vegan and plant based and DELICIOUS.

The past few weeks have been INSANE.  I moved to LA, I went to NYC for the first time ever (AHHHHH!), I got a new job, and I have made a decision to give up MEAT.

WAIT WHAAAAAT. Anyone who knows me knows that meat was a huge part of my diet and my life.  I'm a viking.  I love meat. I eat a lot of it. Well, not anymore.  I know it will be a hard thing for a lot of people to swallow....(haha) but I've made this choice for a few reasons. I won't get too far into it, but I'm not going to be silent about it either.  Environmentally, personally, conveniently, and for my health it makes sense FOR ME. I would never impose this choice on another person and never judge anyone for what they do or do not eat (and never have).  It's a big decision, and I'm just as excited about it as I am about other things that are going on right now.

Things for my career are moving forward as well.  I've taken on a few different roles in my MFA program including social media guru for the school gallery which you can follow HERE.  The account is brand new and I'm working on creating a lot of great content for it.  So follow it =)

I'm also going to be posting a lot more about the show I'm curating for my thesis.  I'm REALLY EXCITED about this show, and it's the whole reason I went to NYC in the first place.

Things have gotten better for 2016 and I'm really excited to see what else the year has in store for me.
